Rafiki Adventure Safari

This package allows you to explore the African wilderness together with your friends. Hunt for the famous Big Five and take in the breathtaking scenery of untouched nature. Experience the Masaii culture, hike the beautiful Oldonyo Lengai Vulcano Mountain and discover one of the first traces of human mankind on planet earth.

Day 1
Airport pick up, accommodation in Arusha
Upon your arrival, our driver will welcome you at the exit doors of Kilimanjaro airport and drive you to your accommodation. Relax from your long journey and prepare for your wild adventures that await you in the next few days.

Day 2
Arusha National Park
After a hearty breakfast we will take you to Arusha National Park which we will explore on foot with a ranger from the national park. Watch closely so you can spot the rare black-and-white Colobus monkeys, African elephants, waterbucks, giraffes, and zebras.
Enjoy your lunch at top of the hill between Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro with an amazing view at the Momella lakes. At the end of the day, we will drive you back to your hotel for dinner.
Day 3
Sinya Reserve & Masai Boma
Make sure to eat breakfast as a full day game drive into the Sinya Reserve awaits you. The Sinya Reserve is less travelled and lays at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Be prepared for wide deserts and dusty roads. We will picknick inside of the Sinya Reserve for an unforgettable lunch in a breathtaking scenery. Dive deeper into the nomadic Maasai culture and take a look inside a Maasai boma. After finishing your game drive, we will set up your tents just in time for you to catch the colorful African sundown. Stay overnight in the tents in the middle of Sinya Reserve.

Day 4
Lake Natron
After a breakfast in nature, we will continue to Lake Natron with a picnic lunch on the way. Lake Natron is one of the most famous soda and salt lakes worldwide and home of the flamingos. Throughout the drive you will be able to see Oldonyo Lengai Volcano Mountain. At the end of the day you will have dinner back at the campsite/bungalow where you will stay overnight.

Day 5
Mountain Hiking
Start your day with a hearty breakfast and getting ready for Lake Natron where you will be able to see the famous flamingos and the salt of Lake Natron. Step into the footprints of the local villagers who were trying to escape the volcano eruption more than 5,000 years ago. We will take you back for lunch to the campsite/bungalow where you will have some time to relax. In the afternoon, the waterfall awaits you after which you will have dinner back at the camp. Make sure to listen closely to the briefing for the climb of Oldonyo Lengai Volcano Mountain as we will hike the mountain in the middle of the night. Once on top of the Oldonyo Lengai Mountain, you will be able to see a beautiful sunrise.
Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater
After the successful hike of Oldonyo Lengai Volcano Mountain, you will have a chance to regain some strength over a hot lunch in the camp. Afterwards we will take you to Ngorongoro Forest where your guide will share some of his experiences over a fireplace and dinner. Here you will sleep in a tented camp overnight.

Day 7
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast Ngorongoro Crater awaits you where we will have a full day game drive. Be ready to be blown away by the countless number of animals when entering the crater. Your guide will take you for lunch at the hippo pool. During the afternoon drive, keep your eyes on the African plains to catch a rare glimpse on the nearly extinct African rhinos! You will reach your accommodation just in time for dinner.

Day 8
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast we will take you for a game drive in Tarangire NP. You will be greeted by the ancient Baobab trees, and be astonished by the huge numbers of animals grazing at Tarangire river. Amongst others, you are likely to see big herds of African elephants, lions, antelopes and zebras. Enjoy your lunch in the middle of the park and listen to the experiences which your guide can share with you. Stay alert to see even more wild animals in the afternoon game drive after which your guide will take you back to Arusha/Moshi/the airport.
